Admission (2011/2012 academic year) to the state educational institution of higher professional education “Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts”.

The Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts, founded in 1825 by count Sergey Grirorevich Stroganov — is the oldest educational institution in Russia that has become the centre of artists’ training for Russian industry. Many famous artists, architects and art-critics whose names are well known all over the world and are the pride of the Russian culture were tutors and students of the Stroganov School. Among them there are M.Vrubel, K.Korovin, A.Schusev, N.Andreev, S.Gerasimov, F.Mishukov, N.Sobolev, V. Egorov, V.Kozlinski, G.Zakharov, G.Motovilov, E.Belashova, O.Filatichev and others.

In 1918 the Stroganov School was reorganized into Free State art workshops, then into VKHUTEMAS-VKHUTEIN. Since 1930 — Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (MIPIDI). In 1945 the Stroganov School was recreated for training artists working for industry and construction.

Admission to magistracy for all above-mentioned fields of training will start in 2012.
